Social taxi project continues Concern Galnaftogaz complex programme of introduction of accessibility requirements in our society. The essence of project, founded by non-governmental organization Narodna Dopomoha L'viv, consists in providing service of transportation for physically chalenged people – invalids on wheelchairs.

In August, 2009 Concern Galnaftogaz and Universalna Insurance Company contributed UAH 130.000 for acquisition, registration and insurance of the special car for Social taxi in L'viv. Concern Galnaftogaz also provides Social taxi with fuel.

Over a period of project existence from the 1st of September, 2009 till the 31st of March, 2010 Social taxi carried out over 400 transportations. During 8 months 265 persons used service for limited mobility people, among them there were 127 men, 122 women and 16 children. Monthly analysis of transportations allows us to confirm permanent growth of the amount of users.

By the way, another car is purchased today for passenger transportation by Social taxi service with the support of The Co-operating Netherlands Foundations for Central and Eastern Europe in partnership with Carpathian Foundation – Ukraine within the framework of Social Transformations Programme.
