Eurofuel: new and interesting facts

A4_EURO5.jpgEurofuel: new and interesting facts

Ukraine is a part of large European region. Now Ukrainians buy cars with new powerful engines that need high-quality fuel. This fuel should satisfy actual European requirements of Euro 5 standard. Ukrainian oil refineries do not produce Euro 5 standard fuels. Such fuels are produced at the refineries of European Union countries. Therefore satisfying the necessity of modern cars ÎÊÊÎ filling complexes network buys fuel from Lithuanian and Polish oil refineries.

What is Euro 5?

Euro 5 is a standard regulating the content of harmful substance in exhaust gas. This standard influences not only the observance of ecological norms but also an adequate exploitation of modern cars. Fuels that conform to the Euro 5 standard requirements (A-95 EURO and Pulls 95 fuels belong to them in ÎÊÊÎ network) have low content of sulphur, benzene and aromatic hydrocarbons. What does it impact on?
For example, Euro 5 standard foresees maintenance of sulphur 15 times less than foreseen by old State standards of Ukraine (DSTU). We should remind that two fuel quality standards are operating now in Ukraine. New DSTU requirements maintain norms regulated by Euro 5 standard. Therefore, the consumption of fuel with minimum sulphur content diminishes incrustation processes, motor oil deterioration, corrosion of engine details. Besides, sulphur emission combined with atmospheric moisture causes acid rains. Therefore its content is tantalizingly constrained in Europe.
Excessive content of aromatic hydrocarbons in fuel causes smog formation, these carcinogens affect cardiovascular and nervous systems, respiratory tracts. Even more, the laydown develops more intensively in a combustion chamber because of large content of these components, gaskets wear out quicker.

How to make sure that fuel You buy really corresponds to the newest standards?

In accordance with Ukrainian legislation, all fuels certified according to new DSTU 4839:2007 «High quality motor fuels» should contain the word «Euro» in its title, for example, A-95 EURO, Euro Diesel. It should be displayed at a price board, sales check, in the certificate of conformity and quality passport. So there should be a document confirming an origin and quality of imported oil product at the filling complex that sells this oil product. Certificate of conformity and quality passport for every kind of fuel belong to such documents.

How is it possible to know that network sells exactly Euro 5 standard fuel?

Except certificates and passports which one should ask about at the filling complex, ÎÊÊÎ network additionally informs its clients.

The series of ÎÊÊÎ inform flash promos, consisting of separate one and a half minute pieces, devoted to Euro standard, particularly, to the difference between old and new DSTU, harmful fuel components and their influence on health and environment, are started.

This flash promos are uploaded on YouTube, UkrNet , Yandex video hosting services and translated on information TV channels. One can find links to them on Facebook page and Twitter account.

Also it should be remembered that filling complexes throughout ÎÊÊÎ network are always provided with fuel that corresponds to Euro 5 standard and is controlled by mobile and stationary laboratories at all stages from a fuel supplier to a fuel dispenser.
