OKKO TOGETHER WITH CUSTOMERS COLLECTED OVER 550 TONS OF USED ITEMS FOR THOSE IN NEED

Per year 2021, OKKO network collected 552 tons of used goods, which have already been handed over to socially vulnerable civilians —homeless, residents of orphanages and geriatric institutions, hospice patients and other categories — in different regions of Ukraine.

The used items can be left at OKKO stations in special containers. Clothes, shoes, bed linen are collected at 29 filling stations in 7 cities — Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Mariupol, and Zaporizhzhia.

In 2021, more Ukrainians joined to this social initiative of OKKO, and it was possible to collect for 145 tons more goods as it was in 2020.

552 tons is the best result of the project, which the company has been implementing for already 9 years.

It is very easy to become a do-gooder: carefully pack clean, neat and undamaged goods in a bag and leave them at the nearest filling station, where such container is installed. You can find here the addresses of currently active containers.

Further all the goods will be maintained by OKKO’s partners – public organizations "Emaus-Oselya", "Ukraine without Borders", "Good Samaritan" and "Pomogaem" –– they sort and distribute goods free of charge among those in need.

"Observing the dynamics of the development of this initiative, we can say that we managed to create a strong community of benefactors. We are grateful to everyone who year after year joins us and do good" said Yaroslava Polyakova, the Head of OKKO's corporate communications department
